Climate Change in the Philippines : Challenges and Resilience

 

        One of the most increasingly pressing issue that has affection the environment and almost all people around the world is climate change. Climate change is the long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns. The Philippines that is located on the Pacific Ring of Fire is mostly the one vulnerable to the effects that is caused by climate change such as extreme weather, sea level rises, and typhoons. These effects became more frequent and intense in the recent years compared to the past years. The extreme weather that is caused by global warming that includes the emission of greenhouse gasses made the planet warmer and weather pattern became more erratic.

               

            The most alarming issue in the Philippines as of the moment is the worsening of living conditions that is caused by the continuous arrival of typhoons. These progressive changes create an ongoing cycle of intense destruction. Despite the overwhelming of challenges caused by climate change to the Philippines, Filipinos have shown resiliency in the face of difficulty. Communities across the whole country  have learned to adapt and know the conditions of their environment, making them stronger in face of difficulties. The government and other organizations have helped the country people in rebuilding what has been destruct.



               The Philippines faces an urgent and pressing challenges with climate change as it affects their way of living and their environment, making their resources reduced. Over the past few years, Filipinos have shown great resiliency that helped them rebuild their homes and own lives. Despite all the challenges faced by the effects of climate change in the Philippines, Filipinos have shown resiliency.
