The Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004 is a law that states that it aims to address the violence to women and children as any act that results in or is likely to result in physical, sexual, psychological, or economic harm. This refers to any act or a series of acts committed by any person against a woman who is his wife, former wife, or against a woman with whom the person has or had a sexual or dating relationship, or with whom he has a common child. This law provides a comprehensive protection and legal remedies for women and children who are victims of different various forms of violence including physical, sexual and emotional. R.A. 9262 plays a significant role in the yearly observance of the 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW), which typically runs from November 25 to December 12. The campaign coincides with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and aims to raise awareness about gender-based v
iolence and promote actions for its eradication.

The safe spaces act or bawal bastos law is a landmark in the Philippine law that addresses gender-based street and public spaces harassment. This law aims to create a safer environment for everyone by penalizing various form of violence and harm in public spaces. It defines gender-based sexual harassment as any unwelcome sexual advances, requests, or demands for sexual favors. The Anti-rape law is the law that was a crime against persons, emphasizing that rape is a violation of an individuals integrity and dignity. This law also recognizes as a sexual assault which includes acts like attempted rape, forcible touching and other sexual offenses. This law was made to protect and provide legal recourse for victims who experienced these kind of unwanted acts. It also plays a vital role in the 18-day Campaign to end Violence Against Women as it highlights the importance of legal protections and support for victims of sexual violence.
